Chanel jacket Paris-New York Métiers d’art

Sublime Chanel jacket from the Métiers d’Art collection entitled “Egyptomania” Paris-New York 2018/19. Entirely handcrafted in black tweed with gold thread embellishment. Made using the artisanal weaving techniques of the House of Lesage, this tweed incorporates hand-painted gold threads, embodying the mastery and meticulousness of exceptional craftsmanship. Black silk lining, two pockets, four black buttons adorned with two raised gold bars, discreetly featuring the iconic CC logo.

Presented in the Great Hall of the Temple of Dendour at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art, this collection pays tribute to ancient Egypt, reinterpreting it with a contemporary New York touch. A dialogue between Orientalism and modernity, supported by the excellence of Chanel’s Métiers d’Art craftsmen.
